PLACE/SETTING

22 March – 13 April 2008

Crawl Space is pleased to present recent works by member artist Tim Brown, featuring a life-scale domestic interior drawn in string and a dining set suspended in resin. Sourced in both his childhood home and his current one, Brown’s architectural pieces portray the hearth and home as primary containers for the intangible.

"The spaces I inhabit have always been based on the shape of the rectangular prism, the box. These boxes have served as the container, context, and framework for my experiences, thoughts, desires, and my everyday life. Place/Setting has come to be about filial intimacy and friendship, about the nature of this presence that inhabits the space in between people."
