Crawl Space is pleased to present its second-annual Centennial juried exhibition, selected and juried by Seattle Art Museum's Marisa Sanchez and featuring works by early-career video artists culled from an international call to artists.

Coming of Age features a selection of videos by ten artists working in the United States whose works explore a variety of ideas ranging from love, loss, romance, conflict, war, and identity. Often emotionally or psychologically-charged, these videos address themes that deal with the notion of transition and transformation. Although not directly referencing the period from adolescence to adulthood, the concept of a coming-of-age wonderfully encapsulates how we experience change throughout the course of our lives and, with each new awakening, we are even more acutely aware of our own reality. The works on view are subtle meditations on the ephemerality of experience.
