Crawl Space is pleased to present ...pass time, featuring new sculpture by Sean M. Johnson and Kirk Lang, curated by member artist Jason Wood. The two artists are brought together by a shared interest in an object’s ability to both assimilate to and alter its surrounding environment, focusing specifically in this exhibit on time and the nature of its passing. Johnson’s found object balancing acts query how an individual may spend their time while Lang’s kinetic sculptures challenge the perception of moments an individual obliges. A new collaborative piece theorizes what an inanimate object can become with just a little time.
